Our final visit when in the lakes was to Grange Over Sands. The camp site we were staying in was quite close by. Grange Over Sands is right by the sea (you can see in the title) so on a sunny day, the views would be really incredible. It was quiet when we were there, I think some of this was due to the horribly rainy weather, but we had a lovely time anyway. We went for a walk through the ornamental gardens near the seaside. They were especially beautiful.
There were a lot of memorials and pretty fountains dotted around the park. We took our time walking amongst them to have a look at the different memorials.
I asked this little duck very nicely to pose and he did for a few shots.
The other highlights of the trip to Grange over Sands were the little individual stores and boutiques. We visited a few little gift shops and purchased a few bits including a Joma Jewellery bracelet.
There is also a gorgeous artisan chocolate shop, we also purchased quite a few little items from here.
We took a walk through Grange Over Sands and this was quite nice. We stopped for lunch in a little cafe/pub on the side of the road and called in a little pet store for some treats to bring home for the doggies.
All in all, Grange over Sands is a lovely day – I just wished we could have seen it in a bit better weather, we might have stayed that bit longer!
