So while in the Cotswolds, we did some exploring all around. Most places were reachable in about half an hour’s drive from our lodge. Bibury was one of the top places I wanted to go to as everytime I did research on the Cotswolds trip, Bibury would pop up and it just looked so amazing!
You can park for free at the side of the river and it was quite empty but I imagine it to be quite busy in the Spring/Summer. We walked along the side of the river, over a little bridge to Arlington Row. Arlington Row is a National Trust site and is basically houses that were built as wool mills in 1380. The row of houses runs in front of a small brook that comes from the river. We walked along here and back along the other side of the river, back to the car park.
If Bibury looks this good in the Winter, I can’t even imagine how it will look in the Spring!
There is also an old Trout Mill, Arlington Mill to explore here and there is also a dog friendly hotel called The Swan for refreshments.
