My house tour…

Hi guys,

I have already started a house tour series on this blog with much more to come. So far you can see the garden and the conservatory. I wanted to tell you about my house before you see the rest of it so you can put it in perspective.

SO my front door used to be black and I wanted a new one. However, I just painted this one a lovely bright green. I have recently updated the look of the front of my house which you can see over on my Insta.

My house is a 4 bedroom detached Taylor Wimpey home which is about 15 years old. We bought it from the original owners in July 2016. Downstairs we have a hallway leading into the integral garage, downstairs wc, the living room and kitchen. There is a dining room joining the kitchen and living room with a small utility cupboard and under the stairs cupboard in the kitchen. We have a conservatory on the back of the dining room with a hot tub to the right hand side of the house and a summer house in the garden too.

Up the stairs in the hallway from L-R we have a double bedroom which we use as a study, through a jack and jill bathroom into the back bedroom which is a guest room. We then have a family bath on the back of the house and then into the other back bedroom which is being used a walk in wardrobe. We have a small airing cupboard separating the dressing room and the master bedroom with ensuite. We also have quite a good size loft space too.

We have redecorated every room except the bathrooms and our stamp is all over the house. I would define my style as simple, elegant, classic but with a mix of glitz and glamour in it.

We love our home but next will be a new master ensuite and eventual plans include knocking through the airing cupboard and putting in a staircase to the loft which will be a master suite or two bedrooms and knocking down the conservatory and building a full width extension for a kitchen/diner/living room on the back of the house incorporating a utility and small study too.

Our house is pretty private, opposite a grass verge which has a train track behind it. The train track is quite quiet and we don’t even notice it now so never let that rule out a house for you. We live on quite a big estate but in a small cul de sac of only 5 houses so nice and quiet.

Check out my tour when it goes live, til then you can check out my Instagram below for more house pics!
